When it comes to joining an adult entertainment website, you choose the site based on your viewing preferences. If you like hardcore content, you tend to gravitate towards a website that is devoted to catering towards your needs. Twistys has dabbled in hardcore content from time to time but it's not why people sign up for a membership on their network.

I would say that Twistys is much like Playboy, in that, you will find beautiful girls being photographed by an outstanding group of photographers. The content at Twistys gets a little more raunchy than Playboy, so if you're tired of fantasizing about those gorgeous girls posing nude at Playboy, wishing they would go to the next level, rest assured Twistys is the place to go. If your looking for hardcore porn, look elsewhere, you won't find it here. Twistys is all about erotic, glamorous women posing for some of the top photographers in porn. My advice would be that if you are looking to watch videos of pornstars having sex, Twistys isn't the right site for you to join. They have that but it is not the main focus of content and it can easily be found elsewhere.

Twistys offers a 2 day trial membership that is billed at $1.00 per day, meaning you can preview what's inside Twistys membership area for just a dollar and you can cancel before the second day re-bill. Trial membership has limited access but no where on the Twistys website does it go into detail about what "limited access" means. If you do not cancel the trial before the 2 days are up, your trial then converts to a full membership at $39.99 per month. Also, be advised that canceling a membership early does not constitute a refund of any money.

Twistys states in it's Terms of Service that refunds or credits will not be issued for partially used memberships. "Subscribers are liable for charges incurred until the date of the termination", meaning that if you cancel your monthly membership after 15 days you will be charged for the full 30 days. They also state that "using the online form to cancel your membership, as opposed to contacting customer support via phone or chat, may result in an immediate loss of access to the site". What this means is that if you paid for a month of access, decide that you do not want to be re-billed for another month and you use the online cancellation form on day 15, you will not be able to finish out your monthly access to the end of the month.

So, if you pay for a full month of access to the member's area and want to fully enjoy the entire month, as you won't get a refund if you cancel early, then you need to contact support and talk to a live person and explain this to them. In my opinion, this is bad practice, as paying for any service for a specified amount of time should end on the specified date and not before, especially if you are not refunded for the unused time. A lot of subscription services do this though, so this isn't all that strange of behavior and I don't think they are trying to cheat anyone out of their money intentionally.

To wrap things up, trial memberships are billed at $1.00 upon sign-up and are automatically upgraded to standard monthly memberships at $39.99 unless cancelled within the trial period. If a trial membership becomes upgraded, the resulting standard monthly membership billing policy will apply as of the upgrade date. Monthly memberships are billed at $29.99 upon sign-up and every 30 days thereafter until cancelled. 3 month memberships are billed at $59.99 upon sign-up and every 90 days thereafter until cancelled. Yearly memberships are billed at $119.99 upon sign-up and every 365 days thereafter until cancelled. An additional $9.99 per month is added onto the existing bill if you sign up for VIP membership, which is required to download videos. I repeat, the basic membership fees above are limited and one of the limitations is that you can only stream video but not download. The VIP membership is re-billed every 30 days until cancelled or your main account membership is canceled.

If your heart truly desires to download video and have full reign in the Twistys network then you will be paying $39.98 for the monthly membership, $69.98 for the 3 month membership and $129.98 for the yearly membership. No where on the site does it discuss what other limitations are thrust upon the user. This is a problem, because people want to know exactly what they will be paying for. It's these kinds of hidden fees and access limitations that make people cuss about their cellphone bill. Going without your phone is not possible for some people, so they gripe and complain but pay the bill anyways because they know they have no other choice. Sure they can switch providers but that only gets you so far, ultimately the end user has to settle for the best they think they can get. With porn though, people who feel they are being deceived in some way are not going to stick around and take it up the rear when they can find a better deal somewhere else. I'm not saying Twistys isn't disclosing these limitations beforehand because of some deceitful tactic, though I think they should find some way to make these limitations known to people beforehand.

I'm going to go off on a rant here because Twistys does do something which I find distasteful and it's not just true of porn sites, software installers are guilty of this as well. When you download and choose to install a piece of software, somewhere during the setup, usually hidden so you can't find it, there is a check box with a check mark already in it, asking if you want to install another piece of software that you didn't want. Twistys does this when you sign up for a membership on their site. There is a secondary offer for a trial membership to another website in their "network of porn sites". It is presented in the form of a preselected check box, which, if left checked and if the transaction is processed, the offer is accepted.

In the screenshot below, the offer is presented in a drop down select box, which as you can see, is preselected to accept an offer from for a 2 day trial. In the fine print below, you can see where it states that after the 2 day free trial is up, you will be billed every month at $34.97 for, a website you may not even know you were signing up for. MAKE SURE YOU READ AND LOOK AT EVERYTHING! This offer can be declined by simply selecting No from the drop down box.

Now, if the trial membership is not cancelled separately during the trial period it converts to a full membership with a recurring charge every 30 days. If you aren't aware that you've signed up to a second account, then you may not be aware that you also need to cancel that second account as well as the first one. This is a bad practice and needs to stop. The trick is, once you find out you've been signed up for the second website, it's already too late because there is a new charge on your credit card. They won't offer a refund and you'll simply have to cancel the account and ride out your time until it expires, hopefully you'll get something out of it.

I don't fault businesses for wanting to make an extra buck, they're businesses after all and their sole purpose for being is to make money. This could be handled in a much better way, in my opinion. The offers could be presented to the user but remained unchecked. Discount the offers so that the more websites the user signs up for, the cheaper the price per month the user has to pay. Also, make note of the billing company that is used to charge your credit card, Twistys uses several different ones according to where you are located in the world. The web-biller that is presented on your credit card is the one you must talk to in order to try to reverse any charges or cancel membership. When you contact Twistys support, they may redirect you to that company or they may simply tell you that you need to contact them and leave you finding the information on your own.

If you do endeavor to cancel your subscription, you may be presented with the following offers... $19.94 for 1 month, $39.94 for 3 months at $13 per month, $59.94 for 6 months at $10 per month, $89.94 for 12 months at $7 per month, $149.94 for 24 months at $6 per month or $499.94 for a Lifetime Membership. I cannot verify or confirm any of these numbers and there are no details presented anywhere that shows what you get and what each offer is re-billed at. These offers may start out at this price and simply go up to the full price during the next billing cycle, I've seen this with many companies so it's not surprising that this is how it would work.

Something interesting I've come to find out, is you may be able to find some discounts when you join 2 websites in their porn portal network. They state, "when you have an active account to Brazzers, Mofos, Twistys, Babes or Wicked, you can add a second membership that will never expire as long as your first membership is active, for only $69.94! Available for Brazzers, Mofos, Twistys, Babes and Wicked." That would mean that as long as you purchase a subscription to Twistys, whether it be monthly, quarterly or yearly, for an extra $69.94 you would be given access to one of the other websites in their network. No where does it state if this is recurring or if it is a one time purchase. What it does state is that if you cancel your Twistys subscription, everything goes.

They also offer pricing monthly for joining a second website in their network. Let's say you want to join Twistys and Brazzers both. They charge you $59.94 for 3 months at $10 per month per website. No mention of VIP access or anything about limitations. Seems like your getting a second membership for free because the $59.94 is close to the quarterly price of a simple basic Twistys membership. They also offer $149.94 for 12 months at $6 per month for each website. These prices seem to good to be true and until I can confirm that these prices are accurate, I'll assume their just boasting about all these fancy offers. It would be great if they sent everybody to one website, where all of these offers could be made apparent. It would take a while for someone to put it all together in a way that was easy to use and simple to understand but it could be done. I believe if companies were more upfront about all the offers and hidden costs they would keep more clients and not have to resort to trickery to make a buck or two.

I would advise everyone to avoid the trial membership only if they know what they will be getting. There are too many people who have signed up for a trial membership only to be charged for the full amount because they couldn't cancel their trial. If you really don't know what's inside Twistys and think you need a trial membership to poke around, do so at extreme caution, as you might be billed for a full month at a higher rate than you would have gotten had you simply signed up for a month's access. Below you will find a table of some of the offers I was able to discover about Twistys on their website...

      • Trial (2 Days)
      • Monthly (30 Days)
      • Quarterly (90 Days)

Before I decided to join Twistys, I would contact someone at support and ask them about a discount joining multiple sites on their network. If there are no other sites on their network that interest you, then the yearly subscription price is clearly the right call, just make sure you know they do not bill you every month but in one lump some, yearly. If anyone has been ripped off by Twistys or has anything to add to the above, please contact me, I want to make sure you get what you pay for and I cannot condone anyone being bamboozled out of their money by anyone. Twistys has a strong reputation for being a high quality adult glamor website and I wouldn't recommend anyone join if I thought they were going to be scammed intentionally.
